HOME SWEET HOME! =D
PHEW! after one whole day, FINALLY reach home le.. hahas~ today was not very busy.. but fun! ET = ear training & MIDI was fun! xD
although i still woke up early this morning.. at 6! when to bath.. was REFRESHED! xD so not that tired.. plus i slept at 11 last night.. ya lor~ so finally i do get a good night's sleep~
anyway~ today's classes was FUN! xD using Cubase 4, a music software that allows u to creat music with all sorts of instruments, we are suppose to creat a music piece using the only element timbre.. Timbre is a very special element.. because its a element that allows our ears to distingush whether the note is from a piano or violin.. its all due to the harmonics that de note gave out.. am example is the note A.. its freguency is always 440Hz.. but the note A has harmonics.. that means that de note A does not only give out 440Hz and also got 880Hz, which is an octave higher, 1760Hz and so on.. of cos it can be lower also.. so u can actually hear different sounds when u hit the note A.. it applies for all other notes as well.. and that 880Hz, 1760Hz so on is called harmonics.. if u listen carefully it actual is there.. and Timbre is tone colour.. tone colour also means the harmonics.. so its like.. we can use grand piano, strings, tables.. anything that can produce a sound to make something.. Timbre is purely the notes or sounds.. it does not have any rhythm.. u hit de table n it gave u a sound right? that sound is timbre.. Timbre exploration is maingly on the different types of notes that can be created by different things.. which even includes ur voice! ^^
so bascially.. we are suppose to do that.. n i creat a funny piece! LOLS! but timbre music will sound weird to u when u first hear it.. cos it does not make any sense to ur ears, at first!, because u normally hear song with beats.. but timbre music don have.. i think i'll soon post a link to the timbre music and u can go listen! its weird.. but like me.. if u get use to it.. it actually make sense! xD
then maths lesson i'm very guai~ xD i do hw leh.. cos teacher let us finish our hw.. she not going to teach new subject.. plus i mention that hui zhuang is HIGH n LOW lor.. gin is busy watching anime.. hahas.. ^^
after class had bao & 3 fishballs for lunch.. LOLS! then was helping gin to change ur blogskin.. hard work! >.<
after lunch is my ET lesson.. SO FUNNY! xD teacher, jimmy, was explaining how we get our 12 notes, which includes semi-tones.. then he joke along the way.. and we tried a TOTALLY DIFFERENT scale! sounds weird at first.. but after a while.. IT MAKE SENSE! xD i'll post a link for u guys to hear it soon.. so its like.. MUSIC AREAS ARE REALLY BIG! there's lots to explore.. like Timbre.. a TOTALLY DIFFERNET SCALE.. and soon.. many more will come.. those interested can keep on coming back to read it! cos i'll be talking ALOT ALOT about music.. hahas..
I REALLY LOVE THIS COURSE MAN! xD everyone was great.. n the course was interesting.. plus i'm learning wat i wan to learn! wat can be more good then fulling ur dreams? JIAYOU JIAYOU EVERYONE! although it make seem very hard.. but i believe once u learn to love it.. U CAN DE! so YANLING JIAYOU! xD i really believe that u can do it de! cos u love bio ma.. hahas~
